Learning Systems Institute is a multidisciplinary organization devoted to bridging the gap between research and practice in education and training. It is a premier research institution that develops practical and workable solutions in learning and performance based on research. The mission of LSI is to add measurable value to its clients and to society by applying valid and reliable theory and research to learning and performance.
LSI needed a central way to showcase its staff and research projects. Research groups also needed custom web based tools to aid in completing their research projects. Furthermore, the leadership was unable to collect information needed to complete reports, and there was no efficient way to showcase active research and projects. The current website was not easily managed, and the information presented on the site was very outdated. In order to satisfy LSI needs and help it achieves its mission, a new website and several custom applications were needed.

THE PROCESS
LSI contacted Sciberus to help them develop a dynamic website portal in addition to several web based tools and custom applications. The intent was to develop a website that would adequately reflect its staff and research projects, while providing tools that would serve as resources to assist research groups in completing their projects. Since the situation required a completely customized solution, Sciberus established a project manager who acted as the liaison between LSI and Sciberus. Working with the LSI staff, timelines and deliverables were developed, while working within budgetary constraints.
